MUNDO: "Futurasquache"

lyrics

Reclaim your claim on the lands that you walk upon
Come on and dig your feet into the flood-plain

Cause we’ve been here for years
In the valley of tears
Why why why why ay ay ay ay ay

When they tried to bury us
They didn’t know what we’d dig up

We know the truth because we’ve SEEN the past
It’s out there, buried underneath a hundred thousand plastic commemorative Selena cups!

Cause we’ve been here for years
In the valley of tears

“Tonight, the Valley burns as the so-called “Basura Bandits” clash with Texas Rangers.

Only hours ago, a skirmish broke out among the groups as a convoy carrying 18,000 metric tons of trash was attacked on its way to Colonia Cosmica on the outskirts of Weslaco.

The masked Bandits commandeered the trucks and emptied their toxic cargo on the doorsteps of Crystal Palm, the Valley’s most exclusive gated community.

In an online statement, a spokesperson for the Bandits said that “our community has for too long been decimated by the waste of the ruling class.”

Colonia Cosmica became the first self-sustaining settlement in the region in 2065. But due to its unincorporated status, several municipalities have decided it would make an ideal location for an automated mega-municipal dump.

The residents of Colonia Cosmica appear to have other plans."

And when they tried to bury us
They didn’t know what they gave up
And when they tried to bury us
They didn’t know what we’d dig up
